Safe and successful laser hair treatment is the result of experience, understanding laser physics, and education of our clients. Mestiza Aesthetics offers both individual and package treatment plans for women and men. Most clients require 6 to 12 treatments making a package treatment plan the most affordable option. Once we evaluate your area of concern during your consultation, we will be able to determine the best treatment plan for you.
THE TECHNOLOGY:
The laser we use is Diode Inova Laser Technology. 808 wavelength. Diode laser works for all skin types but we recommend Skin type 1 to 5 as skin type 6 may not see desirable results.

Treatment Areas Explained
PRE TREATMENT
- No exfoliation 24 hours prior to treatment.
- No antibiotics 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
- No biotin. Biotin stimulates hair growth.
- Laser hair removal can’t be done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Protect treated areas from direct sun exposure, artificial sunlight, and do not spray tan or use self-tanner for 2 weeks before any treatment.
- If treating facial hair, stop using Acne topical creams, including Retinol and Chemical Acids, all alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy products (AHA/BHA), hydroquinone, Tazorac, and Differin 10 days prior to the laser treatment.
- Clients who have used Accutane or similar products within the last 6 months CAN NOT have laser hair removal treatments.
- Do not tweeze, wax, bleach, or use depilatories for 2 weeks before treatment and discontinue completely during the laser hair removal process.
- Shave the areas of treatment the 24hrs before each appointment.
- Remove makeup, creams, and deodorant before the treatment.
- We can treat clients who are menstruating, but a tampon MUST be worn.
- Do not have Botox injections, dermal filler injections, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 30 days before laser hair removal.
POST TREATMENT
- No hot showers, hot saunas, chlorine pools, exercise, creams, make-up, lotions, or deodorant on the areas of treatment for the next 24 hours.
- Wait 48 hours to exfoliate the area. Use a body scrub 3 to 4 times every week in between laser treatments.
- Immediately following your treatment, temporary redness & bumps at the treatment site may occur, this is normal; apply Aloe Vera gel as needed.
- In some but not all cases, dead hairs will begin to shed 5-30 days after your treatment. You may think the hair is growing, but this is only the dead hair being shed from the hair follicle.
- Shave the area of treatment 10 days after the laser session.
- Then DO NOT shave again until the night before your next treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure or artificial sunlight for 2 weeks after the treatment. Protect the area with a full spectrum SPF.
- Tanning after a laser session may result in skin discolorations.
- On average the suggested time period between each session is 5 to 6 weeks for the body, 4 weeks for the face.
- No antibiotics 2 weeks before your next treatment.
- Do not have Botox injections, dermal filler injections, chemical peels or microdermabrasion for 14 days after laser hair removal.
